A few hardy wildflowers hang on, while the rest of the forest is dressed up for Fall: crimson-edged raspberry, cinquefoil giving way to orange, magenta dandelion, & scarlet fireweed twirling like a ballerina.
We’re getting reports of snow on the high peaks of northern Colorado this morning, so snow plowing season is just around the corner. In the meantime, we are reveling in the brief but glorious fall weather.
The leaves seem to be changing quickly this year, so the next couple of weeks will likely be peak color in Summit County. Our forecast for this weekend is clear and sunny perfect Fall weather.
